How do I become a Dental Student?


We know life can be hard enough without having to study for your next O-chem exam and stressing over applying to dental school too. We've tried to make the process simple, from the beginning to the end of the application process.


How to Apply

You must apply for dental school at least one year in advance. Case freshmen begin school in July. That means you should request an application 15 months prior to the July you wish to enter dental school! Learn more

Pre-Requisites

An application for admission to the School of Dental Medicine may be filed after completing at least 60 semester hours, or the equivalent, of collegiate courses, exclusive of physical education and military training. All requirements must be completed before enrollment. Approximately 75% of our entering students begin with an earned baccalaureate degree or beyond. Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete their baccalaureate degree prior to enrollment in dental school. Learn more about Pre-requisites.

This creates a unique opportunity for potential dental students to learn what dental school is all about, to know how you should prepare for dental school, and to familiarize yourself with the application process. ** This amount of student health insurance may be waived with proof of adequate health coverage. All students have access to the on-campus health service even if the insurance is waived.

Ohio law require that all dental students be vaccinated against hepatitis B. Students who cannot provide evidence of such immunization will receive the vaccination from the University for an additional fee of $180.
