The Oral-Systemic Connection: A State of the Clinical Science and Dental Practice
Dr. Nabil Bissada has taught at the school for over 35 years and is currently Chairman of the Department of Periodontics. Recent scientific findings have provided compelling evidence regarding the impact or oral/ periodontal infection/inflammation on the overall health of the individual. Dental health professionals are, therefore, in a position to promote health behaviors to help the global efforts in reducing the risk for a host of serious and sometimes life-threatening medical problems such as coronary artery disease and rheumatoid arthritis. The results of these and other recent studies at Case Western Reserve University and their clinical implications for dental and medical practices will be presented.

Financial Planning Seminar
Dr. Donald R. Raybuck graduated from CWRU School of Dental Medicine in 1979. After 22 years in private practice, he decided to retire from dentistry and start a new occupation in the financial investment industry. He has been an Investment Advisor Representative with Kennard Financial Services for seven years. He will be speaking on the importance of a long-term approach to investing from early age through retirement.

Join the Ritz-Carlton chef in a rare, up close demonstration of creating a delicious lunch. You will be taught how to prepare warm potato leek soup, forest mushroom risotto with seared scallops in a port wine pan sauce. For dessert, you will learn to make Bananas Foster. After the demonstration you will dine on the menu items you just learned to prepare.
