HOTEL RESERVATION INFORMATION
Where should we stay?
The Downtown Cleveland Marriott at Key Center; 127 Public Square; (800) 228-9290
The School of Dental Medicine is holding a limited number of rooms for alumni at the Marriott at Key Center at a special alumni rate of $134 per
night - a great savings!
Arrange your accommodations directly with the Marriott and be sure to indicate that you are with the Case School
of Dental Medicine 2009 Reunion Weekend Group. You can call in your reservation or make it via their website at clevelandmarriottdowntown.com enter CWUO in the group code box to receive the
special
rate. Please make your reservations early -- the discounted rate is available until April 18, 2009. If you are planning an extended stay in
Cleveland around Reunion Weekend 2009, contact the hotel directly to check the availability of the discounted rate for additional days. If you have any questions, please call our office toll-free at (877) 468-1436.
The Cleveland Marathon is the same weekend as our Reunion Weekend 2009. From our experience with past reunions, hotel rooms were harder to get as reunion weekend approached. Our room block has sold out as did most of the other downtown hotels. Please make your reservations now. Use your credit card to hold your room so you are not blocked out from the Marriott. Don’t delay!
EVENT RESERVATION INFORMATION
All event reservations for Reunion Weekend 2009 must be received by Friday, May 1, 2009. The registration brochure will be mailed out in February 2009 to reunion year classes. Call the Alumni Relations Office at (877) 468-1436 if you do not receive your brochure by the beginning of March.
I’m not in a reunion class. Can I still attend the weekend?
Of course. Alumni from all classes are encouraged to participate in Reunion Weekend.
How can I download a copy of the Reunion Weekend Schedule and Events and Registration Form?
A copy of the full event schedule along with the registration form will be available here for download. Please check back for the link.
Can I just show up at reunion activities?
Though we will be prepared for a limited number of walk-in reservations, advance reservations are strongly encouraged to hold your space at reunion
and to help have a more accurate idea of how many meals and reunion souvenirs to order. In addition, any special meal requests must be made by May 1. Our ability to honor on-site special requests is very limited.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
If you should need to cancel your reservation, please do so prior to May 8, 2009. Refunds, less a $10 processing fee, will be processed
after June 1, 2009. Please contact us at (877) 468-1436. Sorry, we are unable to process refunds for cancellations after May 8,
2009.
TRANSPORTATION
How can I get to campus for the Saturday school tour and lunch if I am not driving?
From the Marriott, we will offer round-trip transportation for attendees staying at the hotel to the University for the Dean's southern
barbecue, school tour and campus master plan tour.
PARKING
Where do I park?
The Marriott at Key Center offers valet parking for Friday evening (Welcome Back Reception) at the hotel entrance. The Renaissance Hotel offers valet parking on Saturday evening (Cocktail Reception and Gala Awards Dinner) at their Public Square entrance. There is parking in the Tower City parking lot for Saturday evening. The entrance is on Huron Road. Campus parking is in the Health Sciences garage on the ground level of the Dental School. The entrance is on Emergency Drive off Cornell Drive. There is a fee for each of these options.
DIET & SPECIAL ACCOMONDATIONS
Who should I contact if I have special needs?
Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (877) 468-1436 or dentalalumni@case.edu regarding any
special dietary needs, or indicate any special needs along with any dietary restrictions on the registration form.
All of our events and activities are considered accessible for those who may have any handicap issues. Please advise us of any special needs prior to the weekend.
ATTIRE
How should I dress?
Cleveland's weather can be a bit unpredictable and range widely, so be sure to bring a jacket. Business casual attire is appropriate for most events.
Some men prefer to have a jacket and something comparable for women for the class photo on Friday evening. You may want to consider dressing up a bit
for the Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday night.
CHILDREN
Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome at reunion activities although there are no specific activities planned for them. Please advise us if there will be someone under the age of 13 attending the class dinner or the gala awards dinner. There may be a children’s menu option available for them at a reduced price.
