As a world-class research institution, Case Western Reserve University attracts many applications from prospective students living outside the United States. For traditional entry to the DMD program, all applicants must still complete the AADSAS application. All applicants must also recognize that they are not eligible for most financial aid opportunities that are underwritten by the U.S. federal government. Specific questions should be directed to our Financial Aid Director.
Occasionally the CWRU School of Dental Medicine will offer Advanced Standing seats to graduates from foreign (non-U.S., non-Canadian) dental schools. Those accepted through this procedure will enter the DMD program in the third year of the curriculum.
To be considered, applicants must complete a CAAPID application and be selected by the Admissions Committee for an opportunity for an on-site interview. Interviewed candidates will also participate in a practical examination that will be evaluated by clinical faculty. Finally, participation in an orientation course is required to begin the DMD curriculum.
The School of Dental Medicine is not currently accepting Advanced Standing applications. If the Admissions Committee wishes to consider Advanced Standing applicants, the earliest entering date will be for spring 2013. Please go to CAAPID for more information for requirements.
