Oral Pathology Laboratory
The laboratory is the center of service to the dentist and their patients. The surgical pathology report provided by the oral pathologist is often the critical element for proper diagnosis, and therefore, appropriate treatment. In almost all cases, the pathologist is able to determine a definitive diagnosis, or histopathologic diagnosis, as a sound basis for patient care. The School maintains a laboratory that meets the standards for ongoing CLIA certification by the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services and is inspected biannually by the Ohio Department of Health for compliance. To contact the lab, call 216.368.4260.
The oral medicine service provides care to patients with soft tissue orofacial lesions, mucosal disorders, dry mouth and salivary gland disorders, Sjogren and autoimmune diseases, oral complications of oncologic treatment, temporomandibular disorders, headache and facial pain, facial neuralgia, burning mouth, and oral care for patients with medical disorders such as cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, and hematologic disease, and pulmonary disease solid transplantation. Our providers have more than 14 years of combined experience and board certification in their field. To contact the clinic, call 216.368.0498.
