Dr. Stanley Hirsch is Associate Professor and Chair, the Department of Oral Pathology, Director of the Case Western Dental Clinic Laboratory, and member of the medical staffs the University Hospitals Case Medical Center and the Loius Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Hirsch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, a fellow in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, and maintains an independent oral pathology practice at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center, UHDA Dermatopathogy Laboratory. He has more than 38 years of practice, teaching, and research experience. His special research interests are related to biomarkers in premalignant and malignant oral disease in collaboration with the Department of Biological Sciences at the School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Sarah Fitzpatrick is an Assistant Professor of Oral Pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the American Academy of Oral Medicine. She received her post-graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL and her DDS degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, MI. She participates in an oral pathology biopsy service through the dermatopathology laboratory at University Hospital. Her research interests include gingival squamous cell carcinoma and the relationship between oral lichenoid lesions and squamous cell carcinoma.
