PURPOSE
To clarify SDM policy regarding theft.
POLICY:
The unlawful removal of another individual's personal property is a serious violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Any individual identified stealing equipment or materials belonging to the school or another student, resident, or faculty member will be referred to the Faculty Student Committee for disciplinary action.
PROCEDURES
- A description of the incident must be documented on the Theft in Clinics Report Form.
- The incident must be reported to the Office of the Director of Clinical Operations for investigation, adjudication, or referral to the appropriate hearing body.
- Anyone involved in theft is subject to dismissal from the School of Dental Medicine.
