Homecoming/Reunion: October 13-16, 2016

Dental School may seem like ages ago or it may feel like just yesterday that you were walking through the school on your way to class. Regardless of how you, and the world around you, has changed since graduation, your college experience is etched into your memory.

Your Alumni Association invites you to come home to CWRU for Homecoming/Reunion, which pays tribute to the unique CWRU experience. Join us, and alumni from the entire university, for a dynamic weekend to see what has changed, what new things the dental school has to offer, and to catch up with classmates and friends you may not have seen since the day you graduated. Homecoming/Reunion isn’t just for reunion classes—all members of our alumni community are welcome to come back to campus. We hope that you will accept our invitation to return, reconnect and reminisce at Homecoming/Reunion, and that you will spread the word to your classmates and friends. We look forward to seeing you there.

A new tradition begins:

Celebrate your reunion as part of Homecoming. The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is more than happy to assist you in planning your reunion event to be held during the weekend. Here are just some of the things we can do for you:

  • Provide you with class lists including addresses, phone numbers and email
  • Help promote your reunion event by publishing information on our website
  • Coordinate mailings and provide mailing materials
  • Offer ideas for locations and in some cases assist in arrangements
  • Take photographs at your event
  • Coordinate having the Dean attend your event
  • Assist in planning class gifts for reunion giving

Please contact Ms. Sara Fields at or 216.368.3924 for assistance in planning your reunion.

I am not in a reunion class. Can I still attend the scheduled weekend events?
Of course! Homecoming is open for ALL alumni. A special class dinner will be held for those celebrating a reunion year.

How can I download a copy of the Homecoming and Reunion Schedule of Events and Registration Form?
The dental school event schedule can be found here. All university events and the corresponding registration links will be available on the University's Homecoming page.

Can I just show up at Homecoming activities?
Though we will be prepared for a limited number of walk-up registrants, advance registration is strongly encouraged to hold your space at meals and to ensure an accurate count of meals and alumni souvenirs needed. In addition, any special meal requests must be made by September 30th, as our ability to honor on-site special requests is extremely restricted.

After you have registered, your name will appear on the Look Who’s Coming list located on the reunion website. The list will be updated at minimum, once per week, until Homecoming and Reunion weekend.

Am I able to bring my children?
Children are always welcome at Homecoming and Reunion events, although there are no specific activities planned for them. This is a wonderful time to share your CWRU experience with your children. Please advise us if there will be someone under the age of 12 attending any of the meals. There may be a children's menu option available for them at a reduced price.

Will childcare services be offered during Homecoming and Reunion weekend?
Childcare services will not be offered during the weekend.

Why should I support the School of Dental Medicine?
The School of Dental Medicine Annual Fund provides essential support for the School’s highest priorities. These funds are critical to the School’s success in adapting programs to stay at the forefront of dental medicine.

Where can I find information about giving to the School of Dental Medicine?
Information about giving to the School of Dental Medicine including Annual Giving and Planned Giving can be found here.

How much should I give?
No amount is too small to contribute. Please make all contributions based solely on a personal level of comfort. Any and all gifts to the School are welcomed and greatly appreciated. If you would like to setup reoccurring payments, please contact the Development Office at 216.368.3480.

How do I make a gift today?

You can help by assisting your Class Representatives and the school in finding "lost" alumni and by making the decision to participate in the weekend’s festivities, and then encouraging others to do so as well!

By attending Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, you agree to allow your image to be used for future marketing and advertising purposes. All photos are property of Case Western Reserve University.  If you do not wish to be photographed at a particular event, please advise a staff member at that event.

Numerous ATMs are available on and near the campus to provide you with banking services 24 hours a day. ATMs can be found in the ground floor of Crawford Hall, the Thwing Center, Tinkham Veale University Center Cafeteria, Nord Hall, Fribley and Wade Commons, the Richard F. Celeste Biomedical Research Building, as well as in many off-campus establishments in the area.

Contact Alumni Relations at or 216.368.5758.

Get involved! A reunion celebration is only a success if your classmates come back to celebrate with you. We need a great group of volunteers who are willing to help create a buzz leading up to the Homecoming and Reunion Celebration. No matter the amount of time you are able to commit, we have an opportunity for you!

If you are interested in serving as a Class Representative, please contact us at or 216.368.5758.

The success of Homecoming and Reunion depends in large part on the active participation and commitment of Class Representatives. Reunions are typically promoted by a committee of class volunteers. In the past, classes have found that having large, active committees not only makes reunion promotion run smoothly, but also encourages more involvement in Homecoming.

The staff in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations is available throughout the reunion planning process to assist you. Their goal is to work with Class Representatives to ensure a fun and successful reunion.

To volunteer, contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 216.368.5758 or email

Reunion Giving

Reunion is an exceptionally joyous and festive time to return to campus to celebrate past experiences and memories made while at the School of Dental Medicine. It is a time to reflect on your accomplishments and bonds, and it is also a time to celebrate being a part of the university’s community.

The generosity behind the reunion class gift is a critical piece of the School of Dental Medicine’s Annual Fund.  As much as reuniting is about reminiscing and invigorating old friendships, it is also about looking and working towards the future. Your commitment to give back, at any level or to any designation, ensures that our School’s reputation for excellence in education continues for generations to come. Supporting your class, in any amount, supports the participation goal.

A reunion presents a unique opportunity to come together to make an especially meaningful gift that will significantly impact the School of Dental Medicine’s vital priorities, including:

  • 295 DMD Students and 83 Postgraduate Residents.
  • Student-Aid and Scholarships
  • Cutting-Edge Research
  • Community Outreach and Increased Clinical Care
  • Facility Enhancements

For more information on Reunion Giving or to make a gift, please contact:

Megan Juby, Director of Development, at (216) 368-3481.

You may also make your gift online at or

mail your gift to: School of Dental Medicine at 10900 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106-4905.

Your gift has the ability to truly make a difference.

Congratulations on your reunion and thank you for your support!
